In a world which says that "Consumer is the King", That same customer is confused that which product to buy. Now a days there are choices for a product to buy in every sector, If you want to buy a Mobile phone you have Nokia, Samsung, IPhone, Blackberry...................and lots more, If you want to buy laptop then again there are choices Toshiba, Dell, Acer, HP, Lenovo...............etc, This also apply for low cost products. So the question arises is that how to make up mind to buy a product.

You can also rely on magazines for this purpose as for many products they from time to time provide a detailed review of them. eg Autocar, Digit, Electronics for you etc.

Well to answer it we do have some general guidelines. First thing is that don't be in a hurry take your time to decide as its your or your dear ones hard earned money, so you have to be wiser about this.
1) Budget:- According to availability of your fund's decide the budget for the product you want to buy and the amount of flexibility you can apply to that budget in latter stage of the decision making process. All about the budget I can say is that it should not be heavy on your finances and be strict about that.
2) Getting known to product's available:- Make a list of available brand's and if it is a electronic product the models available in current time. Don't get deceived by ads but use them as your own weapon, that is gain as much knowledge about the product from Television, News paper, Internet etc.

eg:- Suppose if you are buying a Car or Jeep or SUV the more time you can give to the decision making process is good but to be true be excellent about it. One good thing would be buying a Auto car magazine it would be very helpful, They time and again compare the vehicles on each aspect of buying it, bet it price, be it comfort, be it engine efficiency and comparison about it, warranty, service and so on. So spending a 150 or 300/- magazine per month for getting a fair idea about what to buy product of the cost in lakh's is an good investment and even for products whose cost ranges between thousand's.
Next thing would be that you may know people who are passionate with cars jeeps and SUV's. So get help and valuable knowledge from them because they can give you the best advice.
If you want to buy a vehicle I suppose you must be a good driver, So go and test drive the vehicles in the showroom and ask your friend to give permission to test drive their vehicles.
So know its time for some R&D on the Internet. Go for news, go for blogs, even videos of the vehicle, Check the official site for the company..............etc.
For low budget items like electric Iron, cooler, electronics you usually have to collect data manually.
This also apply for electronic Good's but in my opinion buying decision for a vehicle has much larger time span.

4) Decision making:- Its one of the most important thing here so I want it to be made pretty simple. After all the steps above first see your Requirement, then see for your Budget, After this see which is the best suited product for you considering features, price, warranty, any offers, friends suggestion and I think you could just made your mind with that.
